M5 crash leaves two men seriously injured after Mercedes and HGV collide

Two men have suffered serious injuries following a crash between a car and a lorry on the M5. The collision happened on the northbound carriageway in Worcestershire on Friday evening (June 14).

It involved a white Mercedes car and an HGV lorry at the junction near junction seven for Worcester and Evesham. Witnesses reported seeing a white car overturned.

The collision at around 5.50pm led to the closure of the northbound motorway at around 6.40pm and the southbound was closed shortly after 7pm. There were delays for drivers of up to 90 minutes.

West Mercia Police today (Monday, June 17) issued an appeal for witnesses: “The collision took place near junction 7 of the M5 northbound when a white Mercedes car collided with an HGV lorry. The two men traveling in the Mercedes were taken. to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

“Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or anyone with dashcam footage of the time it happened. If you have any information please email Constable Lorren Southan at [email protected]. .uk or by calling 07890 539108.”
