A popular Cornish beach has been cordoned off to allow the air ambulance to land. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed Praa Sands in West Cornwall had to be cordoned off while the Cornwall Air Ambulance helicopter landed to deal with a medical incident.

A spokesman for the force said the call came in at 3.05pm and two units were dispatched, adding: “We are often called to incidents by our colleagues in the ambulance service to create a sterile area in which to do the job a medical problem they are dealing with.”
