Man sentenced to prison for trying to meet a child for sexual activity

A 58-year-old man has been jailed after trying to meet a seven-year-old girl for sex.

Kurt Anderssen, from Amesbury, Wiltshire, was jailed for six years and eight months after being found guilty of several offences.

A jury at Winchester Crown Court found him guilty of three counts of arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, encouraging/inciting the distribution of indecent images of a child and two counts of making an indecent image of a child.

Anderssen had a conversation on social media with a person who he offered to pay so he could meet his seven-year-old daughter for sexual activity, the court was told.
