A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a crash in Salford

A motorcyclist appears to have been seriously injured following a crash in Salford this evening. The incident happened on Albion Way shortly before 6.15pm on Saturday.

Footage from the scene showed a motorcycle on the road and a police tent. The road was closed this evening and police were at the scene.

The rider appears to have been dismounted after hitting a barrier.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 6.15pm today (Saturday, July 22), firefighters were called to assist Greater Manchester Police and North Ambulance Service West (NWAS) at the scene of an incident. motorcycle accident on Albion Way in Salford.

“Crews were on scene for approximately an hour.”

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for comment.
