Huddersfield won the penalty shoot-out to reach the play-off final

(Reuters) – Huddersfield Town reached the second-tier Championship play-off final on Wednesday as they edged past Sheffield Wednesday in a penalty shoot-out on Wednesday. Goalkeeper Danny Ward, on loan from Liverpool, saved from Sam Hutchinson and Fernando Forestieri to give Huddersfield a 4-3 win on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra-time and level on aggregate . Huddersfield will face Reading in the final at Wembley to decide which club will join Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League.
