Gemini, 17, ambushes a woman, slashing her with a knife and knocking off her glasses and hearing aid

Teenage twins armed with a knife ambushed and attacked a mother after inviting her home. The exact motives behind the attack are unclear, Leicester Crown Court heard on Wednesday, but 17-year-old twins Mark and Millie Wimperis invited their victim to their home in Caldecote Road, Braunstone, Leicester, after exchanging messages with the woman’s daughter.

CCTV footage from a neighbour’s home showed the moment the woman arrived in her car and knocked on the twins’ front door, only to be punched in the face by Mark as soon as the door was opened. She was punched and punched repeatedly by Mark and Millie, causing her glasses and hearing aid to fall to the ground.

She suffered a broken little finger in the attack and was also slashed with a knife at one point by one of the twins, causing a wound to the center of her back. Neighbors rushed to intervene and the woman got back into her car and drove away, but later returned to the twins’ home to retrieve her glasses and hearing aid.

After she got out of the car to search for the items, the twins threw glass ornaments and other items from an upstairs window, one of which hit her in the head. Mark then went out into the front garden with a knife in his hand and she ran off again and called Leicestershire Police.

The victim’s injuries included a knife wound to his back, a cut to his elbow, a black eye, bruises and swelling elsewhere on his face, wrist and arm, a chipped tooth and a split lip. The court heard she also suffered psychological damage, becoming afraid to go outside.

After the incident on Friday July 7 last year, Millie texted a friend saying: ‘I cut her back and she was bleeding profusely. I wish I had killed her.”
