Luton City, Blackburn Eye, Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers are interested in a loan move for Crystal Palace playmaker Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, according to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon page.

Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers could be eyeing the Premier League striker as a potential addition this summer. The transfer window is open for business and clubs can bring in new signings ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Rak-Sakyi, who is 21, has been in talks with Crystal Palace since joining them as a youngster in 2019 from fellow Londoners Chelsea. He has since come up through the ranks at Selhurst Park and they have a decision to make on what to do with him next.

According to journalist Nixon on his Patreon page, the Hatters are keen to lure him to Kenilworth Road as they eye immediate promotion back to the top flight under Rob Edwards. However, they will face competition from John Eustace.

Who is this?

THE QUIZ STARTS!

Rak-Sakyi has had injury problems of late so would benefit from a temporary outing to get some game time and build up his fitness.

The former England youth international still has a bright future in the game, but may struggle to break into Oliver Glasner’s first-team plans due to the abundance of top-quality options available to the Eagles in his position .

He has made 12 appearances for the south London club in all competitions to date, eight of which have come in the last term.

Charlton Athletic took him on loan for the 2022/23 season and he was a hit for the Addicks during his time in League One, scoring 15 goals in 49 outings before returning home.

What’s next?

Luton Town could see Rak-Sakyi as someone to freshen up their attacking ranks.

The Hatters were relegated to the Football League along with Sheffield United and Burnley and failed to stay up.

As for Blackburn Rovers, they were too close to the Championship drop zone for comfort and needed a final day away win at Leicester City to survive.

They need some reinforcements in their ranks and Rak-Sakyi would certainly give them something different in the forward areas if they are able to beat the competition from Luton Town.
