Leeds United striker Wilfried Gnonto back on Everton’s radar

Leeds United saw much speculation surrounding the future of Italian striker Gnonto last summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

A move never materialised, but that wasn’t without Gnonto pulling himself out of contention for matchday selection in a bid to force a move away from Elland Road upon their relegation to the Championship. That came amid a rejected bid from Everton.

He would work his way back into Daniel Farke’s squad, but following the Whites’ failure to win promotion back to the top flight, rumors of an exit are re-emerging.

Now Football Insider claim former Everton fans are back on Gnonto’s trail.

They claim the forward is the latest Leeds United player on the radar at Goodison Park amid rumors of a new loan deal for winger Jack Harrison. The Toffees are now “preparing an approach” for Gnonto, who wants to return to the Premier League.
