The hottest spots in Cornwall this week as temperatures soar to 23C

Parts of Cornwall will sizzle this week as temperatures soar into the 20s. According to the Met Office, parts of the country will see warm weather with temperatures reaching 25° tomorrow and Wednesday.

A detailed weather map shows temperatures reaching 22° in Looe tomorrow (Tuesday 25 June), with Truro, St Austell and Falmouth reaching 21° by 3pm. On Wednesday (June 26) Truro, Bodmin and St Austell will get even hotter, reaching 23° a little earlier at 1pm.




Areas along the coast will be considerably cooler, remaining in the mid-teens. The north coast will remain a few degrees cooler than the south, St Ives and Tintagel at 18° by 4pm tomorrow, where Looe and Fowey will hit 22°.

Temperatures will start to cool as we head into the weekend. The weekend will see highs of 18° and lows of 14°, and the weather will be overcast for much of the day.

Southwest weather forecast:

Today (Monday 24 June): Low cloud, mist and fog will gradually lift to leave a fine day with some very warm spells of sunshine. It may remain slightly cloudier in the west. Pollen levels will be very high with high UV levels. Maximum temperature 24 °C.

Tonight: It will be a warm evening with some late sunshine, mainly in the east. Clear spells are likely overnight, although widespread low cloud and mist is likely to reform later. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Tuesday: Tuesday will be another mostly fine day across the region with light winds and further spells of very warm sunshine developing after a gray and hazy start in places. Maximum temperature 26 °C.
