Man in ‘life-threatening condition’ after Oakbank shooting – Inside Croydon

A 28-year-old man is in a “life-threatening condition” in hospital after a shooting in Oakbank, New Addington, in the early hours of Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police were called to Oakbank, just off the Fieldway, at around 4.30am on June 22, where the man was found with gunshot wounds.

“Police were called at 04.31am to Oakbank, New Addington, following reports of a firearm being discharged,” a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

“Officers responded with (London Ambulance Service) and the London Air Ambulance.

“A 28-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound.

“He was taken to the hospital, where he remained. His condition is being treated as life-threatening.

“There have been no arrests at this early stage. A crime scene is in place and investigations are ongoing.”

Police are appealing for missing persons. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1420/22Jun.
