Thomas Tuchel says there have been no talks with any clubs as he considers his next move after Bayern Munich.

The Bayern boss is set to leave the German giants at the end of the season after a disappointing season that will see them finish the campaign without any silverware.

The former Chelsea boss is currently the bookies’ favorite to be the next Manchester United manager, with Erik ten Hag’s job under serious threat.

The Dutchman can still end the season on a high with an unlikely win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, but if he fails and misses out on European football, then he could be out of a job at Old Trafford.

Tuchel is likely to be in the frame if Ten Hag moves on, but he says there have been no discussions so far and he has no idea where he will work next after Bayern.

‘I have no idea. I will think about things in peace,’ said Tuchel about his future. – Things have been clear since February. I will take my time. There were no discussions with other clubs.

Bayern were beaten in the Champions League semi-finals by Real Madrid earlier this week and are third in the Bundesliga, 15 points behind Bayer Leverkusen.

Tuchel says his effort was not lacking, but he could not hide the fact that the campaign was a poor one by the club’s high standards.

“I’m not a fan of public ratings. Many factors play a role in evaluating a season,’ he said. “Personally, I’m not happy with the record.

“When you sign for Bayern, you sign to win titles. We haven’t been able to do that this season. But I gave it my best shot. And the Madrid fans felt it.

Tuchel has two games left in charge of Bayern unless the club and manager pull off a U-turn, hosting Wolfsburg on Sunday before traveling to Hoffenheim next weekend.
