Live updates after city center shop owner also cuts ‘attacker on the loose’

A city center shop has been cordoned off after the owner was stabbed.

Merseyside Police confirmed they were called to Mr Mobile on London Road at around 4.37pm on Monday 24 June following reports that a shop occupier had been attacked with a knife.

He was taken to hospital for treatment of what were described as “superficial” injuries. Police said the incident allegedly occurred following an altercation with a customer, known to the victim, over a cell phone.
