March Madness & Oklahoma Extension Give Brent Venables Extension (Video)

On today’s episode, SI’s Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and Pat Forde break down the recent buzz from last week’s conference commissioners meetings. They cover efforts by the Power 4 conferences to have more decision-making power and the potential expansion of March Madness to a larger field of 68 teams.

After the break, they react to news of Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables’ extension. They debate whether Venables won the overtime and why the move came when it did.

Then I move on to recent recruiting news with Colorado, Rutgers and Texas. They look at the recruiting battle for top 2025 recruit Julian Lewis.

To close out the show, Dellenger shares news about McDonald’s shutting down its AI-powered ordering system.
