Shoppers at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado have been warned the bread is under emergency recall due to health fears

Shoppers at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado have been alerted to the urgent recall of the bread due to health and safety concerns. BFree Foods has recalled its Sunflower and Pumpkin Seed Bread, which is sold in these major supermarkets.

Tesco clarified: “BFree Foods is recalling all batch and date codes of BFree Sunflower and Pumpkin Seeds 350g as it may contain peanuts, which is not stated on the label. This means the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with a peanut allergy.”

The supermarket also advised: “If you bought the affected product and have a peanut allergy/intolerance/sensitivity, please do not eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store for a refund. No receipt is required. Use our store locators to find your nearest UK Tesco store ROI Tesco store.”

BFree Foods is recalling the product from customers and has been instructed to contact relevant allergy support organizations who will inform their members of the recall. The company has also issued a point of sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain why the product is being recalled and instruct customers what to do if they have purchased the product, reports Birmingham Live.

If you have purchased the above product and have a peanut allergy, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
