Joey Essex has ‘run away’ as Cornish bombshell rocks Love Island villa

Monday night’s episode of Love Island was full of explosive drama as the ITV2 dating series aired a strained relationship, seeing Cornwall native Konnor Ewudzi rock the villa. The recovery came just hours after Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton were unexpectedly sent packing.

But the villa’s drama didn’t end there, when Jess White received a message instructing all the islanders to gather around the fire immediately. As they sat around the fire, Harriet Blackmore received a message that it was time to straighten up.

This time, however, the girls were given the power to choose, a change from the last rematch where the boys had the power to choose. Adding to the tension, new arrivals Matilda Draper and Konnor Ewudzi from Cornwall were allowed to make their first selections.

Matilda made her move first, choosing Sean Stone, followed by Konnor who chose Grace Jackson. This decision has left Joey Essex hot as he only recently rekindled his relationship with his ex outside the villa.

In his recoupling speech, Konnor expressed, “I would love to pair up with this girl because it was hard to get into this villa, a lot of strong bonds were already made, which made certain conversations difficult for me. But this girl I see maybe heading towards outside the villa, so the girl I’d like to pair up with is… Grace.

This shocking decision left a sentient Joey fuming with a large vein sticking out of his forehead as he tried to remain calm while Grace looked confused and upset. Viewers on X, formerly known as Twitter, were quick to accuse Grace of having a “game plan”, noting her flirty chat with Konnor before the reunion and suggesting that no one in the villa was “locked up “.
