Brighton still keen on Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after failed January move

Brighton retain their interest in Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and are considering a new bid, talkSPORT understands.

The Seagulls tried to sign the £30m-rated Dewsbury-Hall in January but failed to agree a deal with the Foxes.

However, they could be ready to reignite interest in the summer transfer window with a new bid ahead of next season.

Dewsbury-Hall joined Leicester’s academy aged eight and made it into the first team, making his debut in 2020.

The midfielder has made 129 appearances in all competitions for the club and proved instrumental in their Championship title success.

He scored 12 goals and assisted a further 14 to help them instantly return to the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall made the Championship Team of the Season and was also voted Player of the Season by Leicester supporters and players.

His current deal does not expire until 2027, so the Foxes should be able to command a hefty fee if he is sold.

TalkSPORT previously reported that Tottenham are another club tracking him.

If Dewsbury-Hall stays, he will play under Steve Cooper next season as he has become Leicester’s replacement for Enzo Maresca, who has joined Chelsea.

A move to Brighton would see him work under new head coach Fabian Hurzeler after completing a switch from St Pauli.

talkSPORT understands he is keen to keep Deniz Undav and Pascal Gross at the club – Stuttgart want to take up a £20m buyout option on the former, while Borussia Dortmund are chasing the latter.

Adam Lallana remains tight-lipped amid rumors of sensational Southampton return after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion

Ibrahim Osman is set to become the Seagulls’ first arrival after agreeing to join in the summer from FC Nordsjaelland in a £16m deal.

Brighton said goodbye to Adam Lallana earlier this month as he rejoined Southampton on a one-year deal.
