LINX Transit expands service to Bradford West Gwillimbury

New stops being added to Route 5, with service scheduled to begin July 2; Buses run hourly, with the first trips starting at 5:20am

Simcoe County’s LINX Transit service is expanding its presence in Bradford West Gwillimbury by adding station extensions on Route 5, with service scheduled to begin July 2, 2024.

This expansion will help make the daily commute smoother and more convenient for those traveling in the area.

With the expansion of Route 5, there will be 13 brand new bus stops located along Holland Street in BWG. These stops have been strategically placed to better serve residents whether they are going to work, school or leisure activities.

Route 5 is a vital thoroughfare for residents as it also acts as a gateway to essential connections. By riding along Route 5, you can get to the Bradford GO Station without a hitch, access the New Tecumseth Rec Center and BWG Leisure Center effortlessly, and seamlessly transfer between LINX and BWG Transit services. Whether it’s for groceries, shopping or dining, Route 5 provides access to the heart of Alliston, Beeton and Bradford town centres.

LINX Transit continues to be committed to accessibility. With fares ranging from $2 to $4 per ride, it’s a way to travel on a budget. In addition, residents can count on LINX for reliable service year-round, regardless of weather conditions. Buses run hourly, with the first trips starting at 5:20 a.m. and the last leaving at 5:20 p.m.
