Coventry trains stopped due to ‘two men on station roof’

Train services in Coventry had to be stopped as two people were sitting on the roof of the station. British Transport Police officers from Coventry and Birmingham as well as the police were called into action at the station yesterday (June 24).

Police cars were seen outside the station and officers ran to two people, who were sitting on the roof of the station.




As a result, a line at the station had to stop trains. The British Transport Police Disruption Team in Birmingham reported that two men were eventually brought down.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the team said a man had been detained under the Mental Health Act as a result. Another was arrested on suspicion of obstructing the railway.
