Tragedy as body found in search of missing man Joseph Weech 40 miles from home

A body has been found in the search for missing man Joseph Weech.

Joseph, 25, was reported missing from the Bierley area of ​​Bradford at the weekend and West Yorkshire Police launched a search for him. Sadly, a body has now been found in Manchester.




Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Joseph’s family has been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.

West Yorkshire Police said: “Police searching for missing Bradford man Joseph Weech have found a body in Manchester. Although official identification has not taken place, his family has been informed.

“Enquiries are ongoing but at this stage his death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”

At the time Joseph was reported missing, police said they were concerned for his welfare. A description of Mr Weech was issued and the force confirmed he had links to both north and south Wales, particularly Aberystwyth.
