Balfour Beatty features in the Wiltshire Times discussing how it is restoring an area of ​​outstanding natural beauty in the county

Balfour Beatty appeared in the Wiltshire Times discussing how the company will remove 13 pillars from the North Wessex Downs landscape to restore an Area of ​​Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in Devizes as part of the National’s Visual Impact Provision (VIP) Grid.

In the article, Matthew Taylor, Balfour Beatty’s senior project manager for energy distribution and transport, and National Grid project manager Amardheep Malhi, explore the progress to date on the project and the complex construction work experts are undertaking.

Discussing the works, Matthew said: “We will be doing the trenching, laying the channels and then the cable laying which will take place over the winter months… We are making sure we maintain a positive relationship with the existing landowners. , we include a lot of different tenants and farmers with their own businesses.”
