UK Eurovision star Olly Alexander will be watched by millions around the world as he performs his song Dizzy in tonight’s grand final. But what do we know about the star?

Here we look at his career as a musician and actor and his off-screen life, from his famous past to his health struggles. Olly, 33, was born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and rose to fame in the band Years and Years.




Olly took the music industry by storm in 2015 when his band Years and Years released their biggest hit single ‘King’ which went straight to number one in the UK and earned the band national recognition.

The talented performer is also an actor and has acted on stage, in films and on television. He is best known for his role as Ritchie Tozer in the critically acclaimed series It’s A Sin, which catapulted his acting career to new heights.

The Channel 4 drama, set against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, captivated audiences and won numerous awards, including a National Television Award and British Academy Television Craft Award. He is also known for his role as Jakob in the Channel 4 drama Skins.

He has also appeared in films – including portraying Prince August in the 2010 blockbuster ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ – and is also well-versed in theatre, including singing alongside legend Judi Dench in ‘Peter and Alice’ in the West End.

Who Is Olly Alexander’s Famous Ex?

Olly’s last known celebrity relationship was with Clean Bandit musician Neil Milan Amin-Smith in 2015. The couple split due to conflicting schedules in their music careers.
