Why Luis Suárez called Darwin Núñez an “idiot”

Darwin Núñez has been in the news a lot this week with speculation surrounding him and a possible move to Barcelona this summer. While Klopp appeared to rule that out during Friday’s press conference, the rumors won’t end there.

Speaking to ESPN Uruguay, Núñez highlighted his friendship with former Liverpool and Barcelona forward Luis Suárez, who now plays for Inter Miami in the MLS. “Off the field, we have a very good bond,” he said of his compatriot.

“I always follow him because Luis is an idol for me and he also advises me a lot. For example, when the head thing happened (against Crystal Palace), Luis was the first to write to me. “Idiot, don’t do that, another idiot is talking to you and has done it a thousand times,” he told me. Mohammed Kudus praised amid Liverpool ‘links’

Last summer, West Ham United paid up $48m (£38m/€44m) to sign Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, so there is little chance of him moving a year later unless a substantial return can be made. However, he is being linked with another move, including to Liverpool.
