The Southern Inland Community Committee will meet next week

The agenda has been published for the next meeting of the Inner South Community Committee, made up of the nine councilors for our three wards: Beeston & Holbeck, Hunslet & Riverside and Middleton Park.

The meeting, which is open to the public, takes place at St Andrews Methodist Church, 10 Cardinal Rd, Beeston, LS11 8AL, on Monday 1 July 2024 from 2pm.

The meeting begins with an Open Forum, an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions or raise issues directly with their councillors.

The Committee is also responsible for some Council functions in the area such as street cleaning and youth services; and manages a welfare budget that funds projects big and small and the Neighborhood Fund for Community Infrastructure (CIL). Among the projects considered at this meeting are:

  • Hunslet Corinthians Juniors
  • Litter Kit Grants – The Big Clean Up Campaign

  • Kidz Klub Residential and Enrichment Trips
  • Hunslet Club Eco Gym
  • Summer activity days
  • Improvement of Beeston Juniors Clubhouse facilities
  • Summer bands in Cross Flatts Park
  • Premier League KICKS Leeds United Foundation
  • Hunslet & Riverside Out of Schools Programme, Youth Services
  • Middleton Park Out of Schools Program, Youth Services
  • Beeston & Holbeck Out of Schools Programme, Youth Services
  • Cardinal Square Playground Activity Day
  • Hunslet Moor Activity Day 2024
  • Hunslet Church Street Playing Fields
  • Middleton Park Activity Days 2024
  • Speed ​​Indicator Installation – Moor Road LS10
  • Community Wellbeing and Community Connection Day Trip, Asha District Project
