Detective Inspector Jonathan Potter of the Met’s Roads and Transport Command said: “This was a violent attack on a busy bus in London and I’m sure there are witnesses to the incident who have yet to come forward. I urge these people to get in touch without delay.

“Along with our partners, we are working hard to reduce violent crime and educate young people about the serious consequences of knife crime.

“Some may mistakenly believe that they will be respected if they carry a knife, but the reality is that in any conflict, the presence of a knife will up the ante and put everyone, including the knife bearer, at risk.”

Police have asked anyone who witnessed this incident or has information to call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 5766/24JUN24.
