Co-op Live Manchester car parks, price and parking restrictions

If you’re going to Co-Op Live by car, then it’s important to know where you can park, how much it costs and what the restrictions are in the area.

The arena has only one official car park, located next to it, off Alan Turing Way. Limited parking spaces in the official car park must be reserved online before the event here.

The arena says these parking spaces will be released up to four weeks before each event. They have also confirmed that the price for a parking space through the Co-op Live website will be £25.00 per car.

Resident parking schemes will be enforced to protect those living near the Etihad campus by stopping drop-offs, parking or pick-ups outside designated areas.

As event-goers make their way to the Co-op Live Arena, congestion on the roads near the Etihad campus is expected to peak around two hours before each concert. To avoid traffic, participants are urged to plan their journeys and consider additional travel times for various routes, including:

  • Alan Turing Way (both directions): Plan an extra 20 minutes on any road trip.

  • Hyde Road (Eastbound): Expect an additional 15 minutes to be added to your journey.

  • Mancunian Road (westbound): Allow an extra 10 minutes of travel time.

When driving it is recommended to use the M11 3DU postcode and follow the signs to the Etihad Campus for parking. For those who choose to park elsewhere, additional parking is available in Manchester city centre, accessible via the CityLink walking route and public transport.

Drivers can also take advantage of Manchester’s 24 Park and Ride spaces, where attendees can park their cars for free and hop on the tram to the arena. Co-op Live and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) have also partnered to include free Metrolink travel on all tickets for events at the arena during the venue’s opening season (available from 20 April to 30 June 2024).

The nearest Park and Ride places include:

  • Ashton Moss (Ashton line) – 183 spaces and 12 disabled spaces

  • Ashton West (Ashton line) – 184 spaces and 11 disabled spaces

  • Ladywell (Ashton-Eccles line) – 332 spaces and 22 disabled spaces.

Metrolink transport is included every day of the week every six minutes from the city center and until 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. In an attempt to safely manage crowds, the Velopark and Holt Town stops will be closed after the event.

Fans will be able to use Metrolink up to four hours before and up to four hours after (depending on the time of each show) with a ticket valid for the arena event. All tickets will be available prior to the events via the Co-op Live app and, when requested, must be presented to a member of TfGM staff.

Drop-off points will also be available near the venue, with more information to follow soon.
