The 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy opponents have been confirmed

Wolves under-21s have been drawn against Port Vale, Salford City and Wrexham in the group stage of the 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

James Collins’ side are competing again in the EFL competition, won by Peterborough United last season, having been invited as one of 16 Academy teams to join the 48 League One and League Two clubs.

Wolves were the number eight ball in the northern section of the draw and were placed in Group B during Thursday afternoon’s draw.

The Under-21s will travel to all three teams throughout the 2024/25 season, with the first round of fixtures set to take place in early September.

All four teams in the group will play each other once in the first round of the tournament, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the second round.

Last season, Wolves faced Notts County, Lincoln City and Derby County as they crashed out of the competition at the group stage after back-to-back defeats to the Imps and Rams – despite the under-21s pulling off an impressive win at Notts County in the opening match. .
