Liverpool join Manchester United in the transfer race as target Arne Slot receives a bid

Liverpool are already being linked with several potential new signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

The future at Anfield remains uncertain as Jurgen Klopp prepares to bid farewell to Merseyside. Klopp will step down from his role as Liverpool manager this month, ending almost nine years in charge.

Klopp is expected to be replaced by Feyenoord boss Arne Slot, who is set to become Liverpool’s next manager. An official announcement has yet to be made by the club and despite this, the Reds are being linked with possible transfer targets this summer.

Reports across Europe have provided updates on RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo and Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.

According to Spanish news publication Sport, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs showing an interest in signing Olmo this summer. It has been claimed that Olmo could leave Leipzig at the end of the season, with the Premier League a potential destination.

The report claims the Reds join Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City in expressing an interest in signing Olmo, with Man United in particular linked with a move in recent weeks. However, it has not been made clear whether or not any club have an advantage in the race or a potential price Leipzig could demand to part with the Spain international.
