Delivering the song’s driving bassline with a thunderous sound, Butler held down the bottom end as Dave Grohl dropped the guitar and stabbed a few moves into Ozzy Osbourne’s lead. It’s the second time in recent years Butler has performed with the Foo Fighters, following his appearance at the tribute concert for their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. It is also his last public appearance since retiring in 2023.

At the time of his retirement, Butler ruled out a Black Sabbath reunion, but as of last May, he’s reportedly changed his tune and struck a deal with Osbourne to play one final show (although no further details are available at this time moment).

As for Foo Fighters, they will return to the States later this summer for more tour dates, including a set at Soundside Festival and headlining shows. Get tickets here.
