Carnival to ‘re-imagine’ West Hendon

The afternoon of fun and activity is part of the London Festival of Architecture

West Hendon Carnival will take place on Saturday 29th June 2024 from 12pm to 6pm.

Participants can expect:

• Rio Samba Dancers, Salsa and Brazilian Street Dance
• Band, Amapiano DJ and singers
• Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
• Stalls, arts and crafts, Brazilian ice cream, fancy raffle and more

The carnival will also offer art workshops to design murals, craft workshops to make street furniture come to life, for example mosaic talk benches, gardening demonstrations and activities to support imaginative and sustainable schemes of planting and knowledge-sharing discussions to generate ideas for re-imagining the future look. and the West Hendon feel.

The carnival, organized by the West Hendon Arts and Culture Society, is part of the London Festival of Architecture and aims to show how the creativity, heritage, idea generation and vibrancy of West Hendon’s residents could reimagine the borough, creating what they want people from their locality and generating a buzz of excitement about how to make it happen.
