A new Japanese restaurant is to open in the town, creating more than 20 jobs

A restaurant called Maneki Ramen is set to be fitted out and open in the Victorian canalside property at 21 Ludgate Hill, at the junction of Water Street and just 100 meters from St Pauls Square in the Birmingham Jewelery Quarter.

Ryan Lynch, director of Siddall Jones, said the 4,000 sq ft bar and restaurant had been let to the Rule of Tum restaurant group for around the asking price of £60,000 a year.

Mr Lynch said: “We are delighted to have completed the deal to bring such a fantastic restaurant tenant to Birmingham’s historic jewelery quarter.

“This is a high quality restaurant in the heart of the business district and only a short walk from Birmingham city centre.
