This gorgeous art maze has popped up in London for the summer

London is looking a lot brighter thanks to the return of summer and there is a brand new installation in Brent Cross, that reinforces this notion on an epic scale. A fantastic maze appeared in the area, using dramatic and vibrant colors to pay homage to the rapid and completely artistic renovation of the area.

If you haven’t heard, North London’s Brent Cross Town is undergoing quite a transformation. Famous for its shopping center, the redevelopment is one of the largest mixed-use urban regeneration projects in Europe which is currently shipping, and with it comes a lot of fun!

This labyrinthine installation invites visitors to explore and engage with its colorful panels and will evolve throughout the summer within its three-month life cycle, as three famous female mural artists from the UK and Sweden will be tasked with creating a unique piece of art on different days, allowing visitors to have a different experience on each visit.

Officially opened on Thursday, June 27 and available for viewing daily from 10am to 6pm until the 29th SeptemberThe maze is located in the area’s gorgeous green space, Claremont Park.

The first of the art panels was created live over two days by a Swedish artist Amara Por Dios. The other artists involved in the project are from Brighton Lois O’Haraand East London Josephine Hicks (known as Hixxy).

Once The Maze finishes its run in Brent Cross, it will even make its way to the London Mural Festival (September 5-29), the capital’s biggest celebration of street art.

Morwenna Hall, chief executive at Related Argent (who are partners in the Brent Cross redevelopment), commented: “Of the labyrinth The bold and bright design captures the essence of Brent Cross Town as a burgeoning destination full of possibilities that is becoming more and more integrated into London’s cultural milieu.”

However, it doesn’t stop there as The Maze is a recent addition to a number of permanent artworks already existing in Brent Cross Town and contributes to an ever-evolving arts trail through the borough. For more information, click here to visit their website.
