Local Lloyds Bank and Halifax branches among 60 are set to close

A number of local Lloyds Bank and Halifax branches are set to close. They are among the 60 that will close their doors between October this year and June next year.

Lloyds Banking Group has confirmed it is closing 28 Lloyds Bank branches, while 17 locations in Halifax will see their doors shut and 15 Bank of Scotland branches, according to a BirminghamLive report. That’s because the firm said venue utilization has fallen by an average of 52 percent to 68 percent over the past five years.

Among those to close are three Warwickshire Lloyds Bank branches – Warwick Kenilworth and Alcester, and three other Warwickshire Halifax branches – Rugby, Evesham and Stratford. There are no Coventry locations on the closure list.
