The Cornerstone to Recovery fundraiser sets a goal of $125,000

Cornerstone to Recovery is an organization that provides support to those who have been affected by addiction, helping them achieve emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. From the beginning, our goal has been to create a safe and judgment-free environment for the community.

We are excited to announce that our biggest fundraiser of the year, the 11th Annual Cornerstone Community Walk, is happening on August 10th. This five kilometer walk at Springhill Farm will be followed by a community barbecue, medallion ceremony and feast.

The event provides a chance for our alumni and community members to come together, laugh and have fun at a sober event while helping us raise money for a good cause. Our goal is to raise $125,000.

The walk is a time for all to come together and watch to support Cornerstone to Recovery’s recovery programs. Our residential programs are based on a model where there is a beginning and a middle, but no end.

Our residential facilities remain at home for graduates to transition and stay connected, providing support to those who have just arrived. Our wellness center offers a holistic approach to recovery for those affected by mental health and/or addiction. Our Connections Program provides a safe supportive environment for individuals and families.

As our central hub, it’s the perfect place for individuals to create friendships and connections with others, no matter where they are in their recovery journey. At Cornerstone to Recovery, we believe that addiction recovery programs should be accessible and available to anyone who needs help. Our social enterprise pillar is our grassroots funding approach, which enables us to host a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.

For those who come through our doors, Cornerstone is more than an addiction recovery facility. It is a home, a family and a place for a second chance. Here, we see people’s lights coming back into their eyes after hitting bottom. Community members support each other in their recovery journey.
