Euro 2024 has complicated the start of the summer transfer window for Liverpool, who may have to bide their time before approaching players.

The tournament started on the same day the window opened – June 14 – and will run until July 14, making business tougher for elite players who will continue to focus on the national team for the next few weeks. However, Arne Slot is now in charge of the Reds and he is making his way forward.

As Mirror Football explained this week, it is expected to be a case of continuity rather than revolution at Anfield despite the change of regime. However, new sporting director Richard Hughes is always open to signings – either as replacements for existing players or if he becomes an available bargain.

With that in mind, here are the latest rumors from the world of Liverpool, involving both possible arrivals and departures.

Kvaratskhelia breaks her silence

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says he will decide on his future after Euro 2024 as he is fully focused on Georgia’s qualifier against Spain. Napoli star Kvaratskhelia scored in Georgia’s remarkable win over Portugal, which earned the competition’s lowest-ranked side a last-16 match against heavyweights Spain on Sunday night.

But away from the tournament there is much speculation about his future, with his agent and his father giving their views on the matter. Liverpool are among the teams said to be interested in his services, but Napoli have put their foot down, releasing an uncertain statement, and now the 23-year-old winger has spoken out.

“I respect (new Napoli boss Antonio) Conte, he is one of the best managers,” he said. “I also respect Napoli, I love Napoli. I will decide my future after the Euros. Now I’m focused on the match against Spain.”
