Kvaratskhelia breaks her silence

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says he will decide on his future after Euro 2024 as he is fully focused on Georgia’s qualifier against Spain. Napoli star Kvaratskhelia scored in Georgia’s remarkable win over Portugal, which earned the competition’s lowest-ranked side a last-16 match against heavyweights Spain on Sunday night.

But away from the tournament there is much speculation about his future, with his agent and his father giving their views on the matter. Liverpool are among the teams said to be interested in his services, but Napoli have put their foot down, releasing an uncertain statement, and now the 23-year-old winger has spoken out.

“I respect (new Napoli boss Antonio) Conte, he is one of the best managers,” he said. “I also respect Napoli, I love Napoli. I will decide my future after the Euros. Now I’m focused on the match against Spain.”

Juve move for Red target

Juventus are preparing to make a bid for Nice midfielder – and former Liverpool target – Khephren Thuram after agreeing an £11m deal to sell striker Moise Kean to Fiorentina.

Tuttosport report that Juve are ready to reinvest funds from Everton’s failure since Kean’s exit to sign 23-year-old Thuram, who is the brother of Inter striker Marcus. The France youth international has entered the final 12 months of his contract and Nice would be willing to sell.

Thuram, who is also the son of France legend Lilian, was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool last summer in their search for a deep-lying midfielder. He ended up staying put, but now he’s ready to make his big move.

Liverpool sell unknown defender

Do you know the name Anderson Arroyo? Well, if you answered no, you’re not alone, but he is a Liverpool player, albeit not for long. The Colombian defender joined the Reds in 2018 but did not make any appearances for the club.

He was loaned out eight times, traveling to Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Andorra. But that nomadic lifestyle is about to end, with his latest loan club, Burgos, ready to sign him permanently.

The Spanish second-tier side, whose sporting director is former Swansea striker Michu, want to sign the 24-year-old. It looks like Liverpool will let him go for nothing, despite Arroyo being under contract for another year.
