Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 launches on July 17

Earlier spy shots reveal that the new Guerrilla 450 has a round LED headlamp, a massive fuel tank (similar to the Himalayan 450) and a one-piece seat. The bike comes with alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. The tail section with a split grab handle looks similar to the RE Himalayan 450. There is a single bridge instrument console. Looking at the spy shots, we expect it to offer a more upright driving position with wide handlebars.

Unlike the RE Himalayan 450 which has USD fork suspension, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will come with a telescopic ice fork. Its braking system will consist of front and rear disc brakes. Powering the new RE bike is the brand’s Sherpa 452cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, DOHC liquid-cooled engine. Royal Enfield’s new Sherpa 450 engine has a hydromechanical cam chain tensioner that ensures smoother operation with less engine noise. It was designed with aluminum cylinders, reducing piston play. Compared to the Himalayan LS 410 engine, the Sherpa 450 offers better thermal efficiency and a higher compression ratio. Transmission duties will be performed by a 6-speed gearbox.

The new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is probably positioned against the Triumph Speed ​​400. While its official price announcement is just a few weeks away, we expect it to cost around Rs 2.40 lakh – Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
