Royal Enfield Gurreilla 450 First Teased Video Released!

– Teaser video shows Guy Martin riding Guerrilla

– Decipherable standing ergonomics

– The official unveiling will take place on July 17

Royal Enfield is all set to globally unveil its new 450cc offering, the Guerrilla 450, on July 17 in Barcelona. Ahead of the big day, the company released the first teaser video of the bike.

The video shows Isle of Man TT legend Guy Martin putting the guerilla through its paces. In addition to water splashes and slides, we can see Tip standing and riding the motorcycle, giving some insight into the ergonomics on offer. Considering Guy Martin is 5’8″ tall and looks comfortable standing and riding, the Guerrilla should be comfortable for light off-roading for the average Indian rider. Of course, other aspects such as ride and suspension tuning and ground clearance will also play key roles in determining the bike’s off-road abilities.

Other details visible in the teaser video include an LED headlight, LED turn signals, an offset round digital console and a flat and wide handlebar. Components that are distinctly different from the Himalayan include wheel sizes, front forks and bodywork. However, the engine is likely to be the same 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.47PS and 40Nm on the Himalayan. Royal Enfield could slightly change the engine tuning to suit the character of the Guerrilla.

In terms of pricing, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla will be slotted below the Himalayan, which starts at Rs. 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and TVS Apache RTR 310.
