Fabrizio Romano gives Leicester City an update on Armando Broja as Chelsea transfer talks continue

Armando Broja is not a likely man in Chelsea’s attempts to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City at the moment as the clubs try to beat the PSR timer and reach a deal.

Slough-born Albanian striker Broja, 22, has been mooted as one of three potential Chelsea players offered to Leicester in what would be billed as a separate deal to the one that would see Dewsbury- Hall at Stamford Bridge – and would crucially remove any City concerns about a breach of the Profit and Sustainability Rules by the end of football’s financial year.

But Broja is also linked with Everton among others and could come at too high a price for the transfer to make sense from Leicester’s point of view.

“There is still interest from Everton and also another club asking for information on Broja in the last 24 hours,” Fabrizio Romano said in an update on Saturday afternoon. “There is a lot of interest in Armando Broja. At the moment I hear there is nothing concrete with Leicester City for Armando Broja.

“Leicester was one of the names discussed, but at the moment Leicester know the player has different plans and also Chelsea have good value for Armando Broja, so it would complicate things to include Armando Broja in the transfer deal for Dewsbury-Hall.

“Discussions between Chelsea and Leicester continue over Dewsbury-Hall. They are still talking now, even today, so the talks are ongoing. Let’s see what happens in the next hours, minutes, days because Chelsea are still working on it.”
