The police helicopter was launched as arrests were made after a man threw a punch

Two men have been arrested after a man is believed to have been punched in Stockwood this afternoon (June 29). The incident happened at around 1.30pm and the police helicopter was deployed along with officers on the ground to find the criminals.

The victim is said to have walked away from the incident and was later found by police officers in Sturminster Road. Also, the man did not need immediate medical attention.




A spokeswoman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “The National Police Air Service helicopter assisted officers on the ground following reports that a man had been assaulted and threatened in Stockwood, Bristol. away after the incident at an address in Dutton Road.

“Officers immediately attended to search for the injured person, who was found in nearby Sturminster Road. Fortunately, he did not require immediate medical attention.

“Two men were arrested from an address in Dutton Road and remain in police custody while inquiries continue. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please call 101 quoting reference 5224168703.”
