Caravan fire forces road closure in suburban Bristol as vehicle bursts into flames

A major road was closed after a caravan caught fire in Bristol last night, Friday 28 June. Several fire engines have been sent to reports of a caravan fire in north Bristol. No other buildings in the area were reportedly affected, but some hedges were damaged by the fire.

The incident happened on Ridgeway Road in Fishponds at around 9.35pm. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and will be investigated today, Saturday, June 29.




A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called to a caravan on fire, Ridgeway Road, Fish Lakes at 9.35pm. We sent three fire engines to deal with the fire, which also involved some nearby hedges.

“There were no other buildings affected by the fire and no one in the caravan at the time of the fire. The fire has now been extinguished. The cause of the fire will be investigated.”
