Crystal Palace vs Manchester United LIVE! Premier League match stream, starting lineups as Mason Mount kicks off

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United LIVE!

Selhurst Park is the destination for Monday Night Football to round off another thrilling weekend of Premier League action. United have certainly not been the winners of the results so far, having been knocked out of the European qualification places ahead of this difficult trip.

Both teams are unbeaten in four league games, but Erik ten Hag is yet to convince fans that he is the man to take the Red Devils forward in the long term. Not helping the Dutchman is a huge injury crisis that has plagued Harry Maguire ahead of today’s game, with Bruno Fernandes confirmed as one of the 11 injured absentees.

Palace are very far from the relegation zone and can play with freedom to build greater optimism for the coming years under Oliver Glasner, who are without Jefferson Lerma, but Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi return. Watch Crystal Palace vs Man Utd live via Standard sportHis match blog, with expert analysis from our south London reporter Dom Smith.

Bruno Fernandes reveals ‘very honest’ view on Man Utd’s future

18:44 , Mark Mayo

Bruno Fernandes suggested last week that he might “consider” leaving Manchester United this summer.

Fernandes told DAZN Portugal: “Obviously, it’s not just up to me, is it?

“A player always has to want to be here, but at the same time you have to want him to stay. Right now, I feel like there’s that on both sides.

“I’m not thinking too much about the future, not least because obviously this season hasn’t been at the level we hoped for, either individually or collectively, so far.

“So if I’m going to be very honest, if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros because I don’t there is nothing more important than that right now.”

However, Erik ten Hag claimed the comments were “taken out of context”.

“I know it’s Manchester United and I think he’s very happy to be here,” he said.

Oliver Glasner confirms Jefferson Lerma’s plan

18:30 , Mark Mayo

Jefferson Lerma will not be rushed back from a hamstring injury as Crystal Palace prioritize his desire to be fit for the Copa America.

The 29-year-old is keen to represent Colombia at this summer’s tournament in the United States and has missed Palace’s last three games after straining in the hamstrings after a sprint to chase down Mohamed Salah in the surprise win over 1-0 to the Eagles. Liverpool at Anfield on April 14.

“He’s working hard,” manager Oliver Glasner said of Lerma’s recovery. “The Manchester United game is definitely too early. He is working hard to return for the Wolves game.

“But at the same time as the muscle injuries, we still have a game against (Aston) Villa. I expect he will be available to play against Villa.”

We’re two hours away from the action starting at Selhurst Park, with team news due at 7pm.

Oliver Glasner admits “no guarantees” in keeping the star trio

17:52 , Mark Mayo

Oliver Glasner admitted it would be difficult to keep players who are “too good for Crystal Palace” – adding that there is “no guarantee” Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze or Marc Guehi will be at the club next season.

The Austrian insisted all the club can do is convince the trio that staying at Palace, despite interest from elsewhere, is the right thing for their careers from a “sporting perspective”.

Manchester United are interested in a move for Olise this summer, while the Red Devils have also previously been linked with England duo Guehi and Eze.

Palace face a battle to keep hold of all three ahead of Glasner’s first full season as rival Premier League clubs could make bids for all three throughout the summer transfer window.

Eze and Olise both signed new long-term contracts this season, which run until 2027, while Guehi’s deal runs until 2026.

He said of the three players: “All we can do is show our ambition, show them that they are very important players for us, show them from a sporting point of view that we are competitive with a lot of teams in the Premier League, that we want let’s improve. and that they play a key role in our system.

“But there is no guarantee. The transfer window, when it opens, is sometimes crazy for a few weeks. We’re part of it and we can’t stop it, but we’re doing our job – showing them the vision, showing them how we want to play, what their role can be. We’ll see what happens.”

Score forecast

17:43 , Mark Mayo

Palace won at Old Trafford in September and will be looking at a famous over United.

Each team has plenty of chances against Ten Hag’s side, who have shown little interest in tightening up despite playing with a pretty close to non-existent midfield every week.

While Palace have adapted recently and United continue to produce poor performances, the Eagles are well capable of putting more pressure on the Ten Hag.

Crystal Palace will win, 2-1.
