Street bus station in London that compares to a wedding marquee

Bus stations in London are usually nothing to do, often serving as mere shelters from the unpredictable British weather.

However, some stand out as architectural gems, such as the bat-winged Edmonton Green bus station and the futuristic Vauxhall convertible.

Stratford has now joined the ranks of these admired centres, its latest addition being likened to a wedding tent.

The new Stratford bus station has garnered fans, with one commuter expressing his affection: “I love Stratford so I love Stratford bus station. It’s a popular station, with buses connecting almost everywhere.”

Another praise added to its accessibility: “The bus station. It’s very wide and has a very wide range of buses to different destinations. It’s easy to meet someone here because there are major landmarks that everyone can identify.”

However, not all feedback is glowing. One frustrated traveler lamented the operational problems: “Incompetent staff with no idea how to manage traffic. Buses take up to 10 minutes to get in and out of the station. Some just circle around the station, never getting a chance to go near the bus stops and pick up passengers.”
