You’ve seen the polls. If Keir Starmer becomes Prime Minister, your values and priorities will need a voice. You will need an MP to stand up to a Labor government and stand up to Sadiq Khan.

A Labor MP wouldn’t do that, but I will.

For the past 19 years we have worked with local people to get things done for Barnet. Protecting the green belt, stopping Sadiq Khan from building housing on top of railway car parks, saving local pre-schools under threat, providing more police, doctor’s appointments and apprenticeships – we’ve made progress. But there is more to do.

We have to fight Sadiq Khan’s anti-car measures like Ulez widening and new bus lanes. We need to stop him selling Barnet police station because we need the police to be visible and present in our community. We cannot afford a Labor MP who is on Sadiq Khan’s side, not on our side.

I will support our values: lower taxes, more policing, common sense in classrooms and expanding the NHS.

If you vote Labor or Reform here and give Keir Starmer a supermajority, do you think he’ll listen? You’d be handing Labor a blank check to do what they want with your savings, maybe for ten years or even more.

Reform cannot speak for you as it is highly unlikely to win any seats. To ensure you have a voice in the next Parliament, please give me your vote on the 4th of July. I will always be by your side.

Here’s an overview of the contest and statements from five other candidates: Mark Durrant – Liberal Democrats, David Farbey – Green Party, Hamish Haddow – Reform Britain, Richard Hewison – EU Re-entry and Dan Tomlinson – Labour.

Barnett Post The Independent reached out to Kay Lauer for a statement, but did not hear back.

Note: Barnett Post approached all candidates for ward seats and gave them the opportunity to make a 250-word statement. The purpose of these statements is to give voters the clearest possible understanding of the prospects of the people they are asking for their support. In doing so, we acknowledge that some views have caused me offense and upset, and we apologize if this is the case.
