Classic 1970s boat in Bristol Harborside for sale for £30,000 – and includes a parking space

Property prices in Bristol are on the rise wherever you look around the city. As the demand for housing outstrips the current supply, trying to find the ideal place to live can be a difficult ordeal, especially in places close to the city centre.

There is a property that is available right in the heart of the city at a very reasonable price. Located in Harbourside, a houseboat is for sale for just £30,000.

The houseboat is located at Hanover Place in Bristol Marina and has one bedroom and one bathroom. The boat, a classic 1971 Princess 32 Cruiser, comes with a recreational mooring that can be transferred to the new owner.

The 32-foot boat has an upper aft deck and forward lower cabins with a separate toilet, offering more space than you might imagine. It can sleep up to six people if required.

The houseboat comes with an allocated parking space in a secure car park with coded access. Owning the boat means you would enjoy the benefits of a gated community with showers, toilets and laundry facilities.

According to Rightmove, a ten-year mortgage with a 10% deposit (£3,000) would cost less than £300 a month with an annual interest rate of 5.15%. However, there will be additional costs due to charges associated with berthing at the port. Bristol Live reported in July 2023 that port charges could increase again.

The property is managed by Sue Sadler of Nest Associates. To find out more about the property contact Sue on 01275 627105 or at [email protected].
