As the Copa America continues, it looks like Manchester City may have already found their next star player. Savio caught the eye for Brazil during their two games in the competition. Based on his displays for Brazil at the tournament, it looks like Savio could have a role to play for Pep Guardiola’s side next season.

His performance during Brazil’s 4-1 win over Paraguay showed he could play on City’s right wing if/when he arrives at the Etihad. With his ability to cut inside from the right and his eye for a pass and a goal, Savio looks set to make an impact for the world champions. Against Paraguay, his talent was at its best as he delivered an action-packed performance. He got on the score sheet and was a constant threat to the Paraguayan defense.

The young Brazilian international’s prodigious talent is evident whenever he steps on the pitch, whether it’s with Brazil or for Girona last season. It seems clear that Savio could make an immediate impact for Manchester City when he finally arrives at the Etihad. Having shone on the right wing for Brazil, there seems no reason why he can’t do the same for the world champions. He may just need an opportunity to show what he’s capable of. If Savio is given that sky may be the limit for what he could become for the Premier League champions.

Fabrizio Romano previously reported that City had completed a deal for Savio with his club Troyes. It looks like it’s only a matter of time before the deal is finally made official.

Manchester City may no longer be looking for a ‘world class’ striker. They may already have one in Savio set to hit the club imminently. If given the chance to impress under Pep Guardiola, he can be the player to take over on the right side for Manchester City.
