Hulshoffls confusion delays Slot confirmation at Liverpool

Feyenoord manager Arne Slot faces delays as his move to Liverpool is confirmed.

Slot says a deal is on the table, but things have stalled due to assistant coach Sibke Hulshoffls’ commitment to Holland’s Euro campaign.

Hulshoffls will follow Slot to Anfield, but the Reds will sign him from July 1 – which could conflict with Holland’s campaign.

Slot said: “I can’t reveal the details now, but it’s not about my contract. There’s a combination of factors that’s why there’s no announcement yet. But don’t worry. It’s going to happen.

“I know I’ve said this every time for the last week, but I expect it will really be a matter of days. Some things just need more time.”
