Drivers issued a £1,000 warning if they get angry at the wheel

Motorists have been warned of the risk of a £1,000 fine if they are involved in an altercation behind the wheel. When you go on family trips, it’s not uncommon for arguments to break out with everyone huddled together for a long time, whether it’s between kids or adults.

But motorists have been warned of the risk of not paying full attention to the region. The warning was made by motor experts from Hippo Leasing.

A spokesperson for Hippo Leasing said: “Rule 144 of the Highway Code states that you must not drive without due care and attention. Participating in an argument while driving, even if it’s just trying to defuse children’s arguments, could therefore lead to a £1,000 Fine for not being in proper control of a vehicle.”

Hippo Leasing has also issued warnings about eating fast food while driving, which could result in a £200 fine. While it’s not illegal to eat while driving if you’re driving with one hand, the police may take a dim view of you being distracted behind the wheel.
