Wildwood Crest, NJ – K9 Officer Tyler Lavender of the Wildwood Crest Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop Thursday afternoon.

Officer Lavender discovered suspected crack cocaine, paraphernalia and cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal narcotics sales in the vehicle. The driver, Dwayne Wakefield, was later arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including possession with intent to distribute, money laundering and tampering with evidence.

Wakefield was remanded to the Cape May Correctional Facility in accordance with the attorney general’s guidelines.
