A man is due to appear before magistrates next month after being charged over a burglary in Minehead.

Police launched an investigation after a wallet and jewelery were stolen from an elderly man in the Parkhouse Road area in May.

Kallum Nolan, 27, of Hawthorn Road, Minehead, is also charged with 11 counts of fraud relating to the alleged use of bank cards taken in burglaries at ATMs and retail premises. There are also separate charges of shoplifting and common assault relating to an incident at the Co-op store in Minehead on June 26.

Nolan appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 26 and was released on bail. He will attend the next hearing on Monday, August 12.
