We work alongside primary and secondary schools, community clubs and run holiday rugby camps, rugby festivals, community days and health and education projects throughout the year to engage with both children and adults across the community.

Purpose of the role:

The role will provide support and guidance to a group of local schools and their subject leaders. The member of staff is responsible for the implementation and delivery of a tailored inclusive Physical Activity, Education and Sport offer that is needs-led and will enable schools to embed national initiatives at local level. The role will report to LRF’s Head of Community and Engagement whilst building and maintaining a strong working relationship with key staff within their schools as a single point of contact.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation (LRF) aims to promote and develop, through collaboration and partnership, a sustainable system of physical activity, physical education and sport that enriches the lives of all children and young people.

The collaboration delivers a range of outcomes under three principles: Sport/Physical Activity, Health and Education. Sport and physical activity will be used to deliver important lifestyle messages to inspire others to make positive changes in their own lives. The benefits of this excellent program of physical activity, physical education and sport will have an impact on children’s performance, emotional and social skills.

The purpose of the role

The role will provide support and guidance to a group of local schools and their subject leaders. The member of staff is responsible for the implementation and delivery of a tailored inclusive Physical Activity, Education and Sport offer which is needs-led and will enable schools to integrate national initiatives at local level.

The role will report to LRF’s Head of Community and Engagement whilst building and maintaining a strong working relationship with key staff within their schools as a single point of contact.

Key responsibilities

Co-ordinate and administer the locally agreed physical activity, physical education and sport program to include:

  • Implement and deliver a calendar of support and events with all primary schools.
  • Liaise with high school PE departments for access to facilities and young leaders to support cluster events.
  • Work with key partners to run Competitions, Events and Festivals
  • Promote high quality PE
  • Talent identification and indicator for various intervention programs
  • Leadership programs
  • CPD/ Good practice
  • Club/community links and pathways
  • Coordinate links to Leeds Rhinos Foundation resources and opportunities.
  • Advice and support for indoor and outdoor environments.

The staff member will monitor and assess the impact of their work, always manage their workload effectively and ensure safeguarding by adhering to individual school/partner policies.

  • Attend school/LRF and Well Schools events as required
  • Update your Outlook calendar weekly
  • Update UPSHOT and other relevant data collection tools.
  • Pupil and Sport Premium knowledge and understanding

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • A suitable degree is preferred.
  • Recognized National Governing Body Level 2 Coaching Qualification or Multi Skills Level 2
  • Protection, First Aid, Enhanced DBS.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
