Man charged with rape after woman attacked in Edgware

A man has been charged with rape by officers investigating an incident in Edgware.

At 10.25pm ​​on Thursday 27 June, a member of the public reported that a woman was found partially clothed in Manor Park Gardens, Edgware. The victim, aged 20, was walking down the road when a man jumped out and dragged her into the garden before attacking her.

Following a fast-paced investigation, officers arrested a man in Warrington on Saturday 29 June. He was arrested at a London police station.

On Monday July 1, Kyle Kinsella, 26, of Arlington Drive, Warrington was charged with rape and strangulation with intent. He will appear in custody the same day at Willesden Crown Court.

The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers.
